Clever Penguin AI (“we,” “us”) is a small consulting practice that helps homebuilders and contractors prepare for and adopt AI. Clever Penguin AI is a trade name of a sole proprietorship based in California, United States. This policy explains what we do with personal information collected through our website, cleverpenguin.ai.

Information we collect

• Information you give us. When you use the contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address, company name, and whatever you choose to write in your message.
• Information collected automatically. Our web host keeps standard server logs — your IP address, browser type, the pages you request, and the time of each request — to keep the site running and secure.

We do not ask for sensitive information. Please do not send client data or confidential business information through the contact form.

How we use your information

We use what you send us to reply to your enquiry, to schedule and prepare for an audit call, and to follow up about working together. We use server logs to protect the site and diagnose problems. We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell it.

If we later offer a newsletter or email updates, we will send them only to people who ask for them, and every message will include a link to unsubscribe.

Testimonials

If you give us a testimonial or review, we may publish it on this site with your name, role, and company. Email hello@cleverpenguin.ai if you would like your testimonial changed or removed.

How we share information

We share personal information only with the service providers that run this site for us: our website host and the service that delivers contact-form submissions to our inbox. These providers operate in the United States, so if you contact us from another country your information will be processed in the United States. We may also disclose information if the law requires it. We do not share your information with anyone else.

Cookies and analytics

This site sets no cookies and runs no advertising or social-media trackers. We may later add a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics tool that counts visits without identifying you or tracking you across other sites. If we do, we will update this policy first.

Do Not Track signals

Some browsers can send a “Do Not Track” signal. Because there is no agreed standard for how to respond to it, this site does not act on Do Not Track signals at this time.

Data retention and security

We keep contact messages and related email for as long as we are in touch and for a reasonable period afterward, then delete them. Our host keeps server logs for a short time. We work with reputable providers and take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold, though no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. If a security incident affects your personal information, we will notify you and any regulator as required by law.

Your privacy rights

You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Email hello@cleverpenguin.ai and we will respond within a reasonable time. We may ask you to confirm your identity before we act on a request.

California residents. You have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to request access to or deletion of that information, and not to be treated differently for exercising these rights. You may use an authorized agent to make a request for you. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under California law; if your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we honor it as an opt-out request.

Children’s privacy

This site is meant for businesses and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information, we will post the updated policy on this page and change the date at the top.
